Sorok Short Film Festival launched Likharunungan 2022, its first-ever online creative workshop series. These workshops aim to empower participants, both young and old, about innovations in the creative industry.
The line-up for the initial launch includes “Conceptualizing and Directing Short Films” by Director Arvin "Kadiboy" Belarmino, Mobile Filmmaking by Director Arjanmar Rebeta, Digital Arts for Beginners by Mr. Ricky Tagasa, Spoken Word Poetry by Mr. Leandro Reyes, and Children's Storybook Writing by Ms. Divine Gil Reyes.
Likharunungan 2022 is an online learning initiative conceptualized by the Sorok Short Film Festival committee headed by its Chairperson and Development Head, Ms. Gina Marissa Tagasa. This is an opening activity for this year’s festival.
In its 7th year, Sorok Short Film Festival continues to provide an avenue where amateur and professional filmmakers could showcase their craft. SSFF not only promotes Filipino talents in the filmmaking industry but also advocates to raise social awareness in the Philippines. In addition to its advocacies, SSFF aims to raise funds for the nourishment of Alangan Mangyan students of Inawa Panaynep Elementary School and Libagon School in Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro. Sorok Short Film Festival serves as an instrument not only for filmmakers' success, but also as a channel of hope to others.
