Acommunity created by God’s love and faithfulness; Sorok Uni Village celebrates its 19 years of service to our forgotten neighbors.
The village located at Sitio Ozaeta, Brgy. San Jose, San Antonio, Quezon, is the pioneer project of Sorok Uni Foundation and started as a resettlement area for cured leprosy patients from Tala Hospital in Caloocan.
As the years passed, SUV opened its gate to homeless and displaced urban poor, and even extended help to families and underprivileged children outside the village. The community provides social services under the foundation’s core programs: Relief, Rehabilitation, Empowerment, and Sustainability.
At present, SUV caters 18 Persons Affected by Leprosy, 54 Dream Project Scholars and 13 families inside the village. In addition, the community also gives assistance to families and individuals that fall under the sectors being assisted by Sorok Uni Foundation within Region IV-A (CALABARZON). The foundation continues working to provide better social services for its beneficiaries, through the help of our Board of Trustees, headed by our Founder and Chairman, Dr. Jae Jung Jang and Sorok employees headed by Ms. April Castillo.
In celebration of its 19th year, a thanksgiving service was led by its Community Pastor, Ptr. Romel Basan, at Sorok Trinity Church. Present in the event as their speaker was Senior Pastor Red Vincent Billones.
